Surplus Hydrocolloids & Gums — Liquidation & Resale

We move surplus and off-spec hydrocolloids — xanthan, guar, pectin, carrageenan, locust bean gum, agar, gellan, gum acacia, alginates, and cellulose gums — by matching documented lots to qualified ingredient buyers and compliant secondary channels. Send us product specs, dates, packaging, and photos; we assess channel fit, price options, and coordinate logistics nationwide.

How We Handle Surplus Hydrocolloids & Gums

Food, beverage, and dairy manufacturers, co-packers, and ingredient distributors end up with excess gums and stabilizers after reformulations, clean-label switches, overproduction, and contract cancellations. Hydrocolloids are bought on function — viscosity, gel strength, mesh size — so a lot's spec sheet drives its value more than the category name does. We evaluate documentation, dates, and packaging, then route to the highest-value compliant channel: food ingredient reuse first, then pet food, personal care, or industrial applications where the grade fits.

What We Accept

Material types: Xanthan gum, guar gum, locust bean gum, tara gum, pectin (high and low methoxyl), carrageenan (kappa, iota, lambda), agar, gellan gum, gum acacia (arabic), sodium alginate and other alginates, cellulose gum (CMC), methylcellulose, stabilizer and texturizer blends

Forms: Sealed bags on pallets, fiber drums with lid intact, sealed cartons, sealed supersacks

Condition: On-spec or off-spec with COA; short-dated; overproduction lots; label-change or reformulation excess; contract cancellations

Volumes: Partial pallets through full truckload (FTL). Hydrocolloids carry higher value per kilo than most commodity ingredients, so smaller lots are worth submitting.

Documentation: Best-by / expiration or retest date, lot number, COA or spec sheet (viscosity, gel strength, or mesh where applicable), grade (food, pharma, industrial), allergen declaration, any channel or geography restrictions

What We Don't Accept for Resale

  • Open or compromised packaging (torn bags, unsealed drums)

  • Products under active regulatory hold or recall

  • Adulterated or contaminated lots

  • Lots with moisture damage or hard caking

For lots outside resale eligibility, we may be able to offer industrial organics recovery options.

How It Works

  1. Submit specs — Product name, grade, lot/COA, dates, packaging type, quantity by pallet or drum, photos, pickup ZIP, any restrictions

  2. Channel & pricing — We assess food ingredient reuse first, then pet food, personal care, or industrial applications; buy-out or brokerage pricing quoted

  3. Logistics — Dry van standard; food-grade carriers available on request; clean, labeled pallets preferred

  4. Reporting — Diversion confirmation, buyer disclosure where required, chain-of-custody documentation available

Logistics & Coverage

Nationwide pickups · Dry van standard · Food-grade carriers on request · Preferred: sealed pallets with packing list by lot · LTL or FTL

Industries We Serve

Dairy and dessert manufacturers · Beverage and sauce manufacturers · Bakery and confectionery manufacturers · Co-packers and contract manufacturers · Ingredient distributors and importers · 3PL and warehouse facilities holding stranded inventory

FAQs

Q1. What hydrocolloids and gums do you handle? A. Xanthan, guar, locust bean, tara, pectin, carrageenan, agar, gellan, gum acacia, alginates, and cellulose gums, plus stabilizer blends. Proprietary blends are reviewed case by case because buyers need the full composition.

Q2. Do you accept short-dated or retest-expired gums? A. Short-dated lots with intact packaging and a COA are reviewed for resale. Lots past their date or retest date are evaluated individually; a fresh functional test can sometimes support placement.

Q3. Why does the spec sheet matter so much for gums? A. Buyers purchase hydrocolloids for performance — viscosity, gel strength, mesh size. A COA or spec sheet with those values lets a buyer confirm fit quickly, which widens your buyer pool and speeds placement.

Q4. Do you take partial pallets? A. Yes. Hydrocolloids are high-value per kilo, so drum and partial-pallet lots are worth submitting. Truckload volumes still generate the strongest buyer interest.

Q5. Can you place non-food-grade or off-spec lots? A. Yes, with disclosure. Off-spec or technical-grade lots can find buyers in personal care, pet food, or industrial applications where the grade fits.

Q6. Can we restrict resale to certain channels or geographies? A. Yes. Brand protection, export restrictions, and channel exclusions are honored. We screen buyers accordingly before disclosure.
