Specialized Paper Solutions

Kraft Paper Roll Recycling

We manage obsolete or damaged rolls of Kraft paper from packaging and manufacturing facilities. We work with converters who can resize the rolls or mills that can pulp them directly. View Kraft Roll Solutions ->

Bulk Cardboard (OCC) Brokerage

For distribution centers generating 10+ tons per month, we offer mill-direct programs. By baling your material and loading full trailers, you bypass the local recycling yard and capture maximum commodity value.

Poly-Coated & Difficult Grades

Most recyclers reject paper with plastic liners (poly-coated). We have a network of specialized mills capable of separating the fiber from the plastic, providing a recycling outlet for material often deemed "trash."

Equipment & Logistics Support

To get mill-direct pricing, you need mill-spec bales. Waste Optima supports your operation with the right infrastructure.

  • Baler Rental & Financing: We can arrange compactors and vertical/horizontal balers to help you densify material and increase payload weights.

  • Drop Trailer Programs: For high-volume sites, we stage empty trailers at your dock, swapping them out as soon as they are full to keep your floor clear.

  • Spot Market Logistics: We leverage backhaul lanes to keep freight costs low, preserving your rebate revenue.

Paper & Cardboard FAQs

What is the minimum volume to qualify for a rebate?

Typically, you need to generate at least one full truckload (approx. 40,000 lbs) of baled material per month to qualify for direct-to-mill pricing. Smaller volumes are usually serviced by local collectors.

Do you pick up loose cardboard?

We primarily focus on baled material because it holds the highest market value. However, for very high volumes of loose cardboard, we can install a compactor or arrange for compactor hauling services.

Can you recycle paper rolls with cores?

Yes. We handle parent rolls, end rolls, and damaged stock. We have partners equipped with guillotine splitters to process rolls that are too large for standard pulpers.

How is the price determined?

Pricing is indexed against the PPI (Pulp & Paper Index) or RISI regional markets. We offer transparent pricing formulas based on the current month's index minus freight and processing.
