Specialized Plastic Solutions

Plastic Film & Roll Liquidation

We purchase and broker clear/mixed LDPE bales and obsolete film rolls. Whether it's post-commercial shrink wrap or virgin film inventory, we maximize rebate value.

Corrugated Plastic Recycling

Polypropylene (PP) corrugated plastic sheets and gaylords are bulky and hard to recycle locally. We have specialized downstream partners who grind and re-extrude this material. View Corrugated Solutions ->

EPDM & Industrial Rubber

We provide one of the few reliable diversion paths for EPDM roofing membrane and production rubber scrap, keeping these difficult materials out of the landfill. View EPDM Solutions ->

Silicone Rubber & Fluid Recycling

Standard mechanical recycling fails for thermoset silicone. We utilize chemical depolymerization to convert cured rubber scrap, expired LSR, and silicone fluids back into industrial oil. View Silicone Solutions ->

Engineering & High-Heat Plastics

Unlike general recyclers who only handle cardboard and shrink wrap, Waste Optima also works with high-performance engineering resins used in automotive, aerospace, and medical manufacturing.

We have processors for Nylon (PA6, PA66), Polycarbonate (PC), ABS, and Acetal (POM). Whether you have glass-filled purge, runners, or rejected parts, we can route these materials to compounders who value their specific properties.

Navigating the Plastics Market

Plastic scrap pricing fluctuates monthly based on oil prices and export demand. Waste Optima protects your bottom line.

  • Index-Based Pricing: We track industry indices (like CMA) to ensure your rebates reflect current market conditions.

  • Toll Processing: For manufacturers who want to reuse their own scrap, we can arrange toll grinding and pelletizing to return your material to you as feedstock.

  • Complex Loads: We handle mixed loads (e.g., rigid HDPE + baled Film) by consolidating logistics and splitting streams at regional hubs.

Industrial Plastics FAQs

What is the minimum volume for pickup?

We require a minimum of one full truckload (approx. 40,000 lbs for baled material, or a full 53' trailer for gaylords). We typically cannot service less-than-truckload (LTL) quantities for plastics.

Do you buy obsolete plastic inventory?

Yes. We liquidate obsolete virgin resin (pellets), off-spec rolls, and printed film inventory. This is often handled as a commodity purchase rather than a waste transaction.

How clean does the plastic need to be?

Material should be free of food residue, heavy dirt, and metal contamination. Paper labels are generally acceptable, but excessive contamination may downgrade the material from a "Revenue" stream to a "Cost Avoidance" stream.

Do you provide balers or equipment?

For high-volume distribution centers, we can arrange baler rentals or financing to help you densify film and cardboard, maximizing your payload weights and rebates.

Turn Production Scrap into Revenue

Whether you have bales of LDPE or gaylords of regrind, we have the network to move it. Stop paying for disposal and start managing your plastics as a commodity.
