Buy Post-Industrial Plastic & Rubber Scrap

Waste Optima connects manufacturers and distribution centers that need to move plastic and rubber with the processors who can use it. If you recycle, compound, pelletize, run pyrolysis, or export plastic scrap, tell us exactly what you buy. We screen incoming lots against your specs and send you the ones that fit.

We are a broker. We don't take title to material: it ships from the generator to you, on terms you agree.

Who this page is for

  • Plastic recyclers and reprocessors looking for post-industrial feedstock
  • Compounders and molders buying off-spec resin, regrind, or purgings
  • Film recyclers sourcing LDPE/LLDPE stretch and shrink film
  • Pyrolysis and chemical recycling operators that need steady plastic supply
  • Rubber recyclers buying EPDM, silicone, and other rubber scrap
  • Exporters and traders sourcing U.S. post-industrial material

Availability changes constantly: lots come in as manufacturers generate them. Tell us everything you can use, and we'll match against your list instead of a single grade.

How matching works

  1. Submit your buy-box. Polymer, form, quality tolerances, volume, and where you receive material.
  2. We screen incoming lots. When a generator brings us material, we check it against your specs.
  3. You get the lot details. Material description, photos and documentation where the generator provides them, quantity, and pickup location.
  4. You decide. Only lots that fit get sent to you. Price and logistics are agreed before anything ships.

What to include in your request

A complete buy-box gets matched faster. Include:

  • Polymer or rubber type: every grade you accept (e.g., LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, PP, PET, EPDM)
  • Form: bales, rolls, regrind, pellets, parts, loose
  • Quality tolerances: print, color, labels, adhesive, moisture, contamination limits
  • Volume: minimum load and monthly volume
  • Receiving location: your plant, or destination port for export
  • Price basis: target price, and delivered vs. FOB

Domestic and export buyers

We work with buyers inside the U.S. and abroad. If you're exporting, include your destination country or port. Some plastic scrap streams carry export documentation requirements depending on where they're going, and knowing the destination up front lets us flag that before you commit.

FAQs

Does Waste Optima sell the material itself?

No. We're a broker and never take title. Material ships directly from the generator to the buyer, on terms both sides agree.

What kinds of plastic and rubber do you source?

Post-industrial material from manufacturers and distribution centers: stretch and shrink film, film rolls, rigid packaging and closures, off-spec resin and regrind, EPDM and other rubber, and silicone. What's available at any time depends on what generators bring us.

Can I get ongoing supply, not just one-time loads?

Tell us your monthly volume. Some generators produce continuous streams and others have one-time lots; we match you to both and say which is which.

Do you work with export buyers?

Yes. Include your destination country or port so we can flag any documentation requirements for that stream before you commit.

What happens after I submit my specs?

Your buy-box goes into our matching system. When a lot that fits comes in, we send you the details. Nothing is sent that doesn't match what you told us you buy.
